Mitsubishi Zero Build.

This is a huge 1:16 scale highly detailed all metal model of the famous Zero A6M2b fighter.
Cost to collect was AU$2000.00, but for such a highly detailed model that is good value.

Now I've collected all the parts I am ready to finally ready to start the build but.....

Unfortunately I had one set of issues missing and after many months of trying my supplier was unable to obtain them as manufacturing has apparently ceased. This left me with two choices, return the whole set of parts for a refund, or keep the model and make the missing parts myself. Luckily for me most of the missing parts I can make by hand or print on my 3D printer, so having spent 2 1/2 years collecting all the issues it was a no-brainer to spend some extra time fabricating the needed bits. To compensate me for my trouble the supplier gave me an extra issue with a couple of the needed and organised the optional electric engine.

I've just finished detailing the engine and mounting it on a stand made from extra parts and other bits that I designed and printed.

Now  the hard work really starts!
