Partwork Models.

Partwork models come in a weekly issue, either through a direct subscription or through your local newsagent.
The number of issues and the price varies but the Aston Martin for example was 86 issues at AU$20.00 each for a total of AU$1720.00.
That is a lot of money, but you do get a huge highly detailed model with mostly metal body parts and a nice set of magazines. I also got all the extras and many extra issues to experiment on with modifications, and given that I got two issues I must have spent a fortune.
I have completed a Flying Scotsman, one James Bond DB5 and the Lancaster bomber, with one DB5, the Mitsubishi Zero, and a 3D printer to build.
